violently assaulted in the Algarve holiday town of Lagos, Portugal. Local authorities confirmed that the man was attacked with kicks and punches to the head in the area known for its bars


and nightclubs around 3am on Saturday (May 31). Despite the efforts of emergency services who attempted resuscitation at the scene, the man, who sustained serious head injuries, was declared


dead at Lagos Hospital. The response included paramedics, firefighters, and officers from Portugal's PSP police force, reports the Mirror. Police are currently questioning a Portuguese

spokesperson stated earlier today: "He died in hospital in Lagos following an assault. We have a suspect who is Portuguese who is with police at the moment but I am not able to say


whether he has been formally arrested at this stage." Another official revealed that detectives from Portugal's Policia Judiciaria are now leading the investigation, aiming to
