THE PRESENTER HAS BEEN GIVEN A TV BOOST AS HE RETURNED TO HOST A REVAMPED SHOW SOLO, AFTER BRINGING IT BACK ALONGSIDE HOLLY 08:44, 04 Jun 2025 Stephen Mulhern has been given a major boost as

he returned to host a revamped show solo, after bringing it back alongside Holly Willoughby. It was confirmed in March that Holly would be unable to co-host the second series of game show

You Bet! due to scheduling conflicts. The revived show, which originally aired from 1988 to 1997 with hosts including the late Sir Bruce Forsyth, features a celebrity panel who bet on

whether ordinary people can succeed with an unusual challenge or skill. In February, ITV announced that applications were open for the next series. The first series of the rebooted

entertainment show, hosted by former This Morning presenter Holly, 44, and her Dancing on Ice co-star Stephen, 48, aired in December 2024. An ITV spokesperson said of Holly's role

earlier this year: "Unfortunately, Holly couldn’t commit to the dates to host the new series of You Bet!, but will hopefully appear as a guest panellist on one of the shows in the new

series." It's now been announced on Wednesday (June 4) that You Bet! is set to return ITV1 and ITVX for a brand new series, this time bigger and braver than ever, as it hits the

road for more epic and unique challenges. Article continues below Produced by Rollercoaster Television (part of ITV Studios), the recommission sees You Bet! returning for a six hour-long

episodes and a Christmas special, "crammed full of mind-blowing feats, big name celebrities and nail-biting suspense," according to ITV. And Holly will be back as while the show is

heading out of the studio, each episode she will be part of the panel of celebrities to join Stephen at a different location across the UK. Also taking part this year are Zoe Ball, Rob

Beckett, Alex Brooker, Rylan Clark, Alesha Dixon, Alison Hammond, Babatunde Aléshé, Josie Gibson, Danny Jones, Eddie Kadi, Judi Love, Oti Mabuse, Nick Mohammed, AJ Odudu, Will Best, Greg

Rutherford, Adam and Ryan Thomas, Johnny Vegas and Josh Widdicombe. With the panel closer to the action than ever before, they must predict whether each plucky challenger can complete their

challenge - or not. From supersized adrenaline-fueled action to smaller, quirkier skills, each challenger is competing for a £5,000 cash prize, while the panellists vie to become that week’s

You Bet Champion. Article continues below Stephen said: "I'm absolutely thrilled that You Bet! is back - and this time we’re hitting the road! Each week I’ll be joined by a top

celeb panel, as our challengers take on some brilliantly bonkers and amazing challenges. With the title of You Bet Champion on the line, it’s going to be unbelievable from the start."

James Fox & Dom Waugh, joint MDs of Rollercoaster Television, commented: "After the success of the two special episodes last year, we’re delighted to be bringing You Bet! back once

again for a full series. If you bet that we'd be heading out and about across the country, having even more fun with our celebrity panel, and delivering even bigger and more spectacular

challenges - then you’d be 100% right!" Katie Rawcliffe, Director of Entertainment & Daytime Commissioning at ITV added: "We are so excited to announce that You Bet! is

getting out of the studio and onto the road. Free from the constraints of being inside, the show can bring viewers even more extreme and exciting big-scale challenges than ever before."
