4's Gogglebox fans were gearing up for a fresh episode on Friday night when they received an unexpected update from two of the show's favourites. Before the latest episode was


broadcast, Gogglebox stars Jane and Simon Minty shared a special announcement on social media. The sibling duo posted a video confirming that viewers were about to see the final episode of


the current series. From their couch, Simon announced: "Hello everybody, it's the end of the series tonight. Oh my goodness, that's gone really quickly." Jane chimed in

'whoop', waving goodbye and wishing their audience a joyful summer, reports Wales Online. Fans quickly expressed their disappointment in the comments, lamenting the end of the


series. One viewer wrote: "I'll miss you guys. You're the highlight of my Friday evenings!" Another shared their surprise: "Wait... what! ? What am I supposed to do


on Friday nights after tonight?" A third fan commented: "I'll be watching [sic]" While season 25 is wrapping up, Simon also disclosed that the following Friday (30th May)


would feature a 'best of the series' special. Simon captioned the video post: "Blimey, it can't be already? Yep, last episode of this series #Gogglebox tonight.


"Should be a goody. We still have the 'Best of the Series' episode next week. Thank you for all your kindness, support and, of course, watching. Take care." There are


also reports of a new Celebrity edition of the show, set to air in early June, though the line-up remains under wraps. Last year's series saw an array of stars grace our screens,
