THE ACTRESS DELIVERED ONE OF THE BEST SOAP PERFORMANCES OF THE YEAR IN THE LASTEST EASTENDERS EPISODE 12:59, 22 May 2025 EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa has told her fans that she was
feeling ‘overwhelmed’ as she revealed how she ‘found strength’ to bring her latest soap storyline to life. It's been a difficult period for Lauren Branning on the BBC series, with
Jacqueline’s character worried about her new son Jimmy’s health. On top of fearing for her child, Lauren has had to deal with her fianceé Peter Beale’s revelation that he thinks her previous
addiction issues will affect their sons Jimmy and Louis. In scenes that aired on Wednesday night (May 21), Lauren demanded that someone in the Walford hospital listen to her fears over her
child and assess him. Eventually getting Jimmy seen by a specialist, Lauren and Peter were left heartbroken by the news that their baby is severely sight impaired. Having already accused
Lauren of using again, when she was just taking folic acid, Peter fled the scene and left his partner to process the news on her own. Article continues below The episode ended on a positive
note, with Lauren promising Jimmy in the bathroom that she will never use drugs again and she’ll always be there for him. Jimmy then latched on to breastfeed for the first time as the screen
faded to black and a lullaby version of the show’s theme music played instead of the usual rendition. After having waves of fans messaging her to praise her performance, Jacqueline took to
her Instagram story to reveal how happy she is to be part of the story. She captioned a photo of her and her onscreen son: “Wow, your dms, comments and videos have not gone unnoticed. I am
BLOWN AWAY. I'm very overwhelmed. "Thank you so so much. Being gifted with this story has been a dream and I've found strength in the story. This is many people's
reality, many people that have dmed me and I feel so lucky to be able to tell a version of your story. “I thought I would find it really really tough but I found it gave me this crazy sense
of strength." Jacqueline added: "I love how Lauren has handled herself through this. It's so lovely to read all of the DMs and messages, truly I am so thankful." The
coming months will be difficult for Lauren as she attempts to give Jimmy all the care he needs and try to salvage her relationship with Peter. Article continues below While it was only a
month ago that she proposed to him in the middle of Albert Square, it’s becoming increasingly unlikely they’ll be walking down the aisle anytime soon.
