ITV LOVE YOUR GARDEN HOST ALAN TITCHMARSH HAS BEEN MARRIED TO HIS WIFE ALISON FOR OVER 50 YEARS AND SAYS THE RETIRED DOCTOR ISN'T AFRAID TO KEEP HIM IN CHECK KAREN PRICE Assistant
Editor of Screen Time and CHLOE GOVAN 20:11, 20 May 2025 Alan Titchmarsh, who has won accolades for being one of the "sexiest men on TV" has a grounded reality at home with his
wife Alison, who lovingly refers to him as "just her little gardener" despite his celebrity status. The ITV Love Your Garden host and Alison first crossed paths in an amateur
dramatics group in 1975. With an estimated net worth of over £10 million, Alan remains humble, as he reflected in Saga magazine: "We're still the people we were when we married. I
hope my head hasn't been turned." The couple cherish family life at their Grade II listed farmhouse in Hampshire and their coastal retreat on the Isle of Wight, while taking pride
in their two daughters, Camilla and Polly. READ MORE: Lee Mack makes 'underwear' admission as Not Going Out’s future confirmed by BBCREAD MORE: Birds of a Feather legend Lesley
Joseph admits iconic sitcom ending 'came as a relief' They have encountered odd fan moments without losing their composure. Article continues below One incident involved a fan
startling Alan at a restaurant by grabbing his arm and exclaiming, "Now I've got you!" just as he was dining with Alison. "[That was] the one time I nearly lost it... my
fork was halfway to my mouth. It was hard to keep my cool," he revealed, reports the Express. Another interaction took place on an aeroplane where the gardening expert, preferring to
enjoy his flight undisturbed, wasn't too keen on discussing tomato plant care. He said: "I was ever so slightly crabby on an aeroplane, when the woman came down the aisle and
demanded to know, 'What's wrong with my tomatoes?' "I said, 'Well, I can't tell from here.' She said: 'There's no need to be like
that!'" Article continues below Despite this, Alan generally welcomes interactions with fans, adopting a gracious attitude and reminding himself that "They bought our
house!" Recently, the Chelsea Flower Show favourite was awarded a CBE by King Charles, an honour he finds "flattering beyond belief" much like his "sexiest man"
awards. LOVE YOUR GARDEN IS AVAILABLE TO STREAM ON ITVX
