Samia Longchambon has told fans 'what are the chances' as she enjoyed an unexpected reunion with her co-star. Over the weekend, the actress, who is best known for playing Maria

Windass in the ITV soap, revealed she'd enjoyed some time away from the drama in Weatherfield for the half-term break. Taking to Instagram, Samia was all smiles as she posed for a

sun-soaked snap, in which she could be seen perching on a wall as she sporting a chocolate-coloured swimsuit, while keeping some shade from the sun with a straw hat and covering her eyes

with oversized sunglasses. Alongside the post, which she set to the Madonna track, La Isla Bonita, the soap star wrote to her fans and followers: "Warmed up and chilled out." She

then explained: "Re the song.. when I was a kid, I used to think that @madonna sang ‘eyes like potatoes’ instead of eyes like the desert.. Anyone else???" And the comments quickly

came flooding in. @the_saint1957 said: "Not entirely sure about that lyric but love the song still do . Looks fabulous as of course to you samia. Enjoy." Article continues below

her co-star Bobby Bradshaw, who plays Jake Windass in the long-running show. "We bumped into my lovely TV step-son on holiday!" Samia told her followers. "What are the

chances!? @bobby.bradshaw14 @coronationstreet." The trip comes after Samia recently marked 25 years on the famous cobbles. She first arrived in Weatherfield as Maria in 2000, having

beaten Girls Aloud's Kimberley Walsh and Hear'Say star Suzanne Shaw to land the role. The character was originally a kennelmaid at Sutherland's Kennels and was brought into

the Weatherfield fold when she agreed to marry Tyrone, after he proposed atop Blackpool Tower. In that time, Samia has only taken two breaks from the soap, in late 2009 and in 2015, both on

maternity leave. In the two and a bit decades, to date, that she has been on-screen as Maria, Samia hasn't been short of dramatic storylines. Sharing a picture from when she joined

Corrie alongside a more recent photo of herself outside Audrey Roberts' salon on the street, the soap star wrote on Instagram last month: "25 years today since ‘Maria’ first

stepped onto the cobbles @coronationstreet. Article continues below "Feeling nostalgic going through old photos.. this is my first cast card from 2000 and then my latest one!" She

added: "Thanks to my Corrie family for having me be a small part of our very special show. Always grateful for the memories, and looking forward to making more! #coronationstreet
