HE'S DUE IN COURT NEXT WEEK 09:08, 22 May 2025 A man has been charged after a police officer broke a finger. Greater Manchester Police said on Thursday that Gospel Ugorji, 23 and from


Salford, is due to appear before magistrates in Bolton next week. He's been charged with assault with intent to resist arrest, possession of a bladed article in a public place and


possession of cannabis, the force added. The alleged incident happened on Oxford Street in Manchester city centre on Monday, GMP said in a statement on Thursday. He's been remanded in


custody. In a statement, GMP said: "Gospel Ugorji, 23, of Tootal Road, Salford, has been charged with assault with intent to resist arrest, possession of a bladed article in a public


place and possession of cannabis. Article continues below "He has remanded into police custody before his next court appearance at Bolton Magistrates Court on Tuesday 27 May 2025.


"The charges come after an officer sustained a broken finger while dealing with the seizure of an illegal e-bike on Oxford Street on Monday 19 May 2025." No further details have
