BOTH VENUES ARE USUALLY BUSY ALL DAY BUT THEY WILL REMAIN CLOSED ALONG WITH EVERY OTHER BRANCH ACROSS THE UK 13:59, 03 Jun 2025 Two café bars will shut for one day next week in Wirral for a

massive staff party. All Lounges, including those in Heswall and New Brighton, will shut their doors on Monday, June 9. The annual staff gathering is called LoungeFest and has been running

since 2013. It's the company's way of thanking the more than 9,000 staff for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. It means that on Monday, Otto Lounge on Telegraph

Road in Heswall and Marino Lounge at Marine Point on King's Parade in New Brighton will both be closed. They will reopen as usual on Tuesday, June 10. Two Liverpool Lounge sites, one on

Lark Lane and one on Mann Island, will also be closed for the staff party. Guy Youll, Loungers’ chief people officer said: “Back in 2013, Loungers was one of the first in the hospitality

industry to host a party like this and I’m delighted we’ve kept close to our roots by continuing every year getting bigger and better. "Our teams work incredibly hard all year round so

LoungeFest is our way of celebrating them and showing how much we appreciate the dedication and care they put in every day at all our sites to deliver great hospitality. It’s going to be

quite a party!” Article continues below This year’s LoungeFest, being held at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire, has an ‘At the Movies’ theme where team members will be able to enjoy fairground

rides, DJ sets, music stages hosting performances from bands and Loungers’ staff, games, activities and a huge array of food and drink stalls…all completely free. The Lounges website says:

"Our informal café bars are open all day, every day for long lazy breakfasts, brunch and lunch, or a relaxed dinner and drinks. We serve a wide range of food and drinks (including full

kid's, gluten-free and vegan menus), served in a relaxed, welcoming space." As of May 2025, there are over 250 lounges nationwide. Lounges are principally located in suburban high

streets and small town centres. Marino Lounge was named among the best breakfast and brunch spots in Merseyside in a Liverpool ECHO tried and tested guide. The reviewer said: "Marino

Lounge at Marine Point in New Brighton always has a wonderful atmosphere. It is dog-friendly, and you will often see people who have stopped in on an early morning bike ride for a latte.

"While I am guilty of skipping breakfast in the week, at the weekend it is a real treat to enjoy a big breakfast, and Marino Lounge is the perfect place to do just that. And don’t worry

if you enjoy a lie-in on a Saturday and Sunday; breakfast is served all day, and it comes with all the trimmings you would expect. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, hash browns,

herby sausage, crispy bacon, eggs over easy. "They also put the beans in a little dish so you can choose if you want to mix them on your plate. And I always add black pudding because

the menu allows you to make adjustments so you can have the breakfast you want. Article continues below "They also have great veggie options, and every meal comes with your choice of

toast. It’s the best way to start your day, even if that is at 1pm because you were still in your pyjamas till midday."
