croissants and chocolate twists are being sold at half price after 7pm - although this doesn't include bread or gingerbread. The thrifty deal has been shared by the Facebook group

goodies such as pecan plaits, cheese croissants, and sweet swirls are part of Tesco's daily bakery selection. A representative from Tesco said the evening markdown, typically happening


around 7pm, could differ between shops, noting, "Markdowns on fresh products continue to be popular and help to prevent good food from going to waste." Tesco initiated a trial in


March, aimed at further cutting down food waste and addressing hunger, which permits certain 'yellow sticker' items to be taken through the checkout for free after 9.30pm at
