FANS HAVE EXPRESSED EXCITEMENT OVER THE RETURN 11:33, 30 May 2025 Chocolate lovers are rejoicing this week as it has been revealed that white chocolate Maltesers will be returning to

shelves. Maltesers confirmed the relaunch of the chocolate via Instagram. In a post a week ago, Maltesers highlighted a huge influx of requests from fans to bring back the white chocolate

variety. The brand said on the post “you asked and we delivered”. According to trade magazine, The Grocer, white chocolate Maltesers were discontinued in 2014. Since then the brand has seen

pressure from fans to bring back the variety with some even starting petitions online. One petition called ‘Bring Back White Chocolate Maltesers’ has over 1000 signatures. One person

commented on the petition: “These were and still are my favourite chocolate in the whole world! Please bring them back. I alone would buy thousands of bags if they were to start selling them

again. Absolutely delicious.” Article continues below One user commented on an announcement post from Maltesers, saying “we need a release date” to which the brand responded “June 16th”.

Fans are clearly delighted with the news with one saying “you better believe I will be camping outside of my local supermarket waiting for the doors to open in the morning”. Another

commented “I'm so excited to try these again after so many years”. Maltesers white chocolate truffles are already on sale in supermarkets for £6.50. However, the popular product is soon

to be sold out at Tesco and Asda online. Article continues below Supermarkets such as Tesco have seen an increased popularity in retro food, which some believe has prompted the revival of

the old flavour. In other chocolate news, Cadbury’s is also set to launch a new flavour. An iced latte flavoured chocolate is reported to launch in June and will have packaging that changes

colour when it is put in the fridge.
