THE MAP SHOWS THE FESTIVAL STAGES SPLIT ACROSS TWO ZONES 16:48, 21 May 2025 Radio 1's Big Weekend is set to take over Sefton Park this week, marking the first time the festival has

visited Liverpool. An estimated 100,000 fans will flock to the area with preparations nearly complete for opening day. Across the three-day event, around 100 acts will grace the stage,

ranging from globally renowned artists to fresh and emerging talents, performing across four stages. These include the Radio 1 Main Stage, Radio 1 New Music Stage, Radio 1 Dance, and BBC

Introducing. The park's primary northern area - which holds annual festivals such as Africa Oyé - will be occupied by Radio 1's Main Stage facing south. At the bottom of the field,

near the outdoor tennis court, will be the Introducing Stage. Around the perimeter will be various food, drink, and cocktail traders; toilets; merchandise stands; and information desks.

There will also be a fairground to the bottom right of the area with its own selection of traders. General admission ticket holders will enter via the main entrance and exit, while VIP

ticket holders can use their own entrance further south. The Radio 1 Mainstage and Introducing Stage are surrounded by Aigburth Drive. The Dance Stage and New Music Stage are confined to

their own section in the top right of Sefton Park. The area is surrounded by Mossley Hill Drive, the cricket ground, and Sefton Park allotments. Inside there will be food stalls and a bar

alongside several toilets. Article continues below There will be a wide array of food options available at Radio 1's Big Weekend, including child-friendly choices and vegan, vegetarian,

and gluten-free selections. Options include homemade pizzas, plant-based dishes, curries, burgers, fish and chips, loaded fries, and more. A variety of ice cream vendors and sweet treats

will also be scattered across the event site. Artists set to perform in Sefton Park include Sam Fender, Mumford & Sons, Tate McRae, Sugababes, Haim, Natasha Bedingfield, JADE, AJ Tracey,

Tom Grennan, Myles Smith, Wet Leg, Blossoms, Lola Young, and many others. Festival organisers have already begun significant preparations. Standard toilets, gender-neutral toilets, and

wheelchair-accessible toilets will be located across the event site and near the viewing areas. A changing places unit will also be on hand, equipped with an adult changing bed, toilet sink,

and hoist. Please remember to bring your own hoist slings, as these won't be supplied. The accessible viewing areas are designed to offer disabled fans a comfortable space to enjoy the

performances. These include raised platforms and ground-level areas, ensuring unobstructed views for wheelchair users and those who need seating. First aid and medical facilities will be

readily available throughout the event. If you need assistance and are able to, please head to the medical tent in the main arena. If not, alert a member of staff who will be happy to help.

For anyone feeling overwhelmed or anxious, we have a sensory calm tent. This quiet, safe space is perfect for guests who may find the high-stimulation environment of a music festival too

intense at times. The sensory tent provides a calming, low-stimulation environment for respite. Article continues below Additionally, there will be a welfare tent within the arena where baby

changing facilities can be found. A lost property point is situated within the onsite welfare tent, which will be operational throughout the event.
