being stopped by police in a Cheshire town. Simon Jones was sentenced to four years in prison at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday, May 28. The 35 year old from Danefield Road, Northwich,

began around 2.40pm on Monday 28 April 2025, when patrolling officers spotted a man riding an off-road bike on Danefield Road, Northwich. Despite him wearing a face covering, officers
identified him as Jones due to his build and visible tattoos. Jones initially fled the area on his bike, but returned about 20 minutes later. On his return, he abandoned the bike and tried

cash, several snap bags typically used for drug dealing, and multiple sim cards. An examination of the sim cards revealed Jones' involvement in cocaine sales in Northwich. The Crown
Prosecution Service received a comprehensive case file and subsequently charged Jones with multiple offences. Following the sentencing, Police Constable Adam Baxter said: "Drugs have a
hugely detrimental impact on our communities, causing widespread misery. As such, cutting off supplies of illegal drugs and removing dealers from our streets is of paramount importance.

leaving him with no option but to plead guilty to the charges against him. "I welcome the sentence that has been handed to Jones today and I hope it provides reassurance for local
residents. "While Jones is now behind bars, our fight against illegal drug dealers continues and I would appeal to anyone who has any information about illegal drug activity or any
other criminal activity taking place in their communities to contact us on 101, via the website or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
