THE QUIZZER SHOCKED FANS WITH HIS DECISION 18:24, 20 May 2025 Darragh Ennis offered his advice to contestants on The Chase after a controversial decision. Billy, Hannah, Jan and Andy made up
the team of four players who were eager to test their general knowledge skills against one of the UK's best quizzers. Andy was first up to face The Chaser, who in the case was Darragh
"The Menace" Ennis, after he accumulated £5,000 in the Cash Builder round. The contestant decided to play for what he had earned with the hopes of securing a spot in the final
chase. Andy gave a great performance, adding his £5,000 to the shared cash prize pot. Jan hoped to follow in his footsteps as she bagged £4,000 in a tense quick-fire question round. She
"sailed" through her head-to-head against The Menace and bagged herself a place in the final next to Andy. Hannah accumulated £4,000 and decided to play it safe with The
Chaser's lower offer of £1,000. She was keen to make it through, and Darragh said she made a "sensible decision." Viewers were furious at Hannah's decision and took to
social media to voice their opinions. One angry fan thought her move was "pathetic", while another said it was a "waste of time." Article continues below However, the
quizzer proved she had made the right choice as she returned to her teammates, increasing the shared prize pot to £10,000. Darragh offered his words of wisdom to those who may have doubted
Hannah's tactical decision. He said: "People who haven't been on the show don't understand the show." Speaking directly to Hannah he added: "The money
isn't real until you win it. You have shown that taking the lower offer is often the right decision." Billy was the final contestant remaining who hoped to bag the last spot in the
final. He shocked fans by taking The Menace's lower offer of £-2,000, despite his teammates encouraging him to stick to the money he had earned. He gave an impressive performance, and
returned to his fellow contestants to complete the team ahead of the final chase. Despite decreasing the prize pot to £8,000, presenter Bradley Walsh said: "I think you've made the
right decision getting yourself to the final." Darragh Ennis agreed: "You're absolutely right because a few of those were educated guesses. It could've easily turned the
other way. So on this show this is exactly the right decision." In the final chase, Billy, Hannah, Jan and Andy achieved a score of 18 which proved to be strong enough to beat The
Chaser. They went home with £2,000 each. Darragh Ennis gave his verdict after the team's win. He said: "Without the two players that went low, you might have a single digit up
there, because Billy and Hannah each answered a huge number of questions. This is the reason why the low offer is sometimes the right one." Article continues below He added: "Billy
and Hannah taking the low offer is the reason you won that game." Bradley Walsh agreed: "Tactically, you played the right game." THE CHASE AIRS WEEKDAYS AT 5PM ON ITV1
