Kensington. The woman, in her 30s, was left fighting for her life after sustaining "extremely serious injuries" in the attack at around 8.25pm on Friday, May 30. Residents on
Phythian Close, Kensington, described hearing a "loud bang" before looking out and finding the woman unresponsive on the ground. Neighbours rushed to help, performing CPR on the
woman as emergency services were called to the scene. Merseyside Police were called to reports a woman in her 30s had suffered chest and face injuries after an assault. The woman suffered
"extremely serious injuries", police said. Speaking to the ECHO yesterday, residents said they believed she had been stabbed. Police later confirmed the victim's injuries
"can be described as stab wounds". Today, June 1, a further update from Merseyside Police confirmed the woman remained in hospital, where her condition is described as critical. A
48-year-old man from Kensington was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and taken into custody for questioning. Article continues below Olamuyiwa Otti, 48 years, of Pythian Close has
been charged with attempted murder and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He was remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Monday, June 2. The street was cordoned
