claimants as many will see their payment dates move again in the coming weeks. DWP usually pays benefits and pensions on a regular basis, with money usually landing in accounts on specific
days. But the Government department does not issue payments on bank holidays, and there are a few of these falling later this month and at the beginning of January. When this happens,
payments usually land the first working day before the bank holiday. Some payments will even be moved despite there not being a bank holiday that day. READ MORE: DWP SAYS IT WILL GIVE EXTRA

"Information for claimants already receiving payments. "Your payment dates may be brought forward due to the festive period. Please contact us straight away if there is a problem
with your payment." It can be useful to know when your payments will arrive so you can budget for costs over the Christmas period and further ahead. Article continues below If you are
due to receive a benefit or pension payment on Monday, December 25, or Tuesday, December 26, (Christmas Day or Boxing Day), you can expect to see the money in your account on Friday,
December 22. Universal Credit claimants due a payment on Wednesday, December 27, will see the cash arrive on that day - however if you're due pension or any other benefit money on this
day, it will arrive on Friday, December 22. And if you are due any DWP cash on Monday, January 1, (New Year's Day), this will arrive on Friday, December 29, instead. RECEIVE NEWSLETTERS
