Latest venues with the worst food hygiene ratings

Five venues across Leicestershire were the lowest scored eateries for food hygiene last month. LeicestershireLive has compiled a list of all the businesses that scored either a "0"

meaning urgent improvement necessary, or a "1" meaning major improvement necessary. Four venues in Leicester and one in Melton had the lowest food hygiene scores during last

month. Venues scoring poor ratings include a pub, a butchers, two restaurants and a food store. Every restaurant, supermarket and takeaway - in fact any place where food is supplied, sold or

eaten is given a rating for food hygiene, with zero being the worst. The ratings are based on criteria such as handling, storage and preparation of food, cleanliness of facilities and how
