A reported body in a Leicestershire park was actually a man locked inside a toilet, police have revealed. Rumours had circulated online about the body, with some social media posts alleging
a private ambulance had been called to the scene. The rumours reported the body had been discovered last week in Wigston's Memorial Park. Reports on social media had suggested that
police had been searching the area and that a private ambulance had also been called out. However, in a statement issued today (Friday, May 30), Leicestershire Police confirmed that there
was no body in the park and that they had been called out for very different reasons. A spokesperson said they were called to the park last Saturday (May 24) following concerns for the
welfare of a man inside the toilets. READ MORE: Man punches store worker then flees with 'large quantity' of cash Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) was also in
attendance after being called to the park by officers. A spokesperson for the fire service said crews assisted with gaining access to the toilets after arriving at 11.26pm. Fire crews left
the scene after gaining access to the building and the incident was handed over to police. A spokeswoman for Leicestershire Police said that no incidents in the area were found regarding
deaths. "The man was located safe and well" said the spokeswoman. We are now bringing you the latest updates on WhatsApp first
