miles. The blaze originates in Sanders Lodge Industrial Estate in Rushden. The incident, which began early this morning, has sent plumes of dark smoke into the sky that can be seen from more


than 20 miles away in Market Harborough. Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS), which was called to the scene at 6.30am today (Friday, May 23), said there were 10 fire engines at


scene, as well as three turntable ladders. According to the fire service, the blaze involves a large quantity of plastic from the recycling warehouse. A spokesperson for NFRS said: "We


are receiving cross-border support from Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service in dealing with this incident, and we anticipate we will be on scene for the rest of the weekend." READ

People around the area are being advised to keep their doors and windows shut whilst crews tackle the fire. Services including the Shell petrol station opposite the recycling warehouse are
