Seaward International Group Inc., a Ventura agribusiness development firm, will coordinate two “trade missions” and study tours to Mexico early next year. The one-week trips, sponsored by
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, are designed to help food and agricultural executives develop business contacts in Mexico. Farms, food processors, distributors, marketers and government officials
will be visited. Alyse Rozenzon, Seaward’s assistant director of project development, said executives from throughout North America are expected to sign on. The pending North American Free
Trade Agreement should add to the trips’ relevance, she noted. The first trip, to western Mexico, starts Jan. 30. The second, to central Mexico, starts Feb. 20. Each tour is limited to 30
people. The cost, including air fare, hotel rooms, most meals, a three-unit Cal Poly course and the services of a Spanish translator: $2,485. MORE TO READ
