A 17-year-old girl was killed early Wednesday, reportedly during an argument with her boyfriend, authorities said. Christy Anne Thomas of Rancho Bernardo apparently got into an argument with
her 25-year-old boyfriend, Juan Ortiz, after a party Tuesday night at Ortiz’s home in the 14000 block of Powers Road in Poway, said Sgt. Manny Castillo of the San Diego Sheriff’s
Department. An autopsy to determine the cause of death will be performed today, Castillo said. Ortiz surrendered at the Poway sheriff’s station about 5 a.m. Wednesday, Castillo said.
Deputies then went to his house, where they discovered Thomas’ body on the living room floor. Ortiz was booked into County Jail downtown on suspicion of murder. He is being held without bail
