A Danzig colt attracted the top price of $2.3 million during the first session of the 44th-annual Keeneland Selected yearling sale at Keeneland, Ky.


The bay colt out of Six Crowns, and a brother of 1984 2-year-old champion Chief’s Crown, was purchased by Darley Stud Management, owned by Sheik Mohammed al Maktoum of Dubai. The yearling


was consigned by Claiborne Farm, agent for Star Crown Stable.
