The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 24 March 2016 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen


circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.


Work to improve journeys by replacing the bridge expansion joints over the A1 continues this week. The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Tuesday


29 March for 4 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A41 to join the M1 at junction 4.


The southbound carriageway between junction 2 and junction 3 will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 5.30am, from Tuesday 29 March for 5 nights. Work on Saturday and Sunday morning will


finish at 7am. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M25 anti-clockwise to junction 13, A30 and A322 to M3 junction 3.


The M3 junction 2 northbound link road to the M25 in both directions will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 5.30am, from Wednesday 30 March for 4 nights. Work on Saturday and Sunday


morning will finish at 7am. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A322 and A30 to the M25 junction 13.


Work to improve journeys by carrying out electrical repairs will start this week. The eastbound carriageway between the slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Tuesday


29 March. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the exit and entry slip roads.


Work to improve journeys by carrying out litter clearance will start this week. The anti-clockwise exit and entry slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Tuesday 29


March. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the exit slip road via junction 3 and return. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the entry slip road via the M25 clockwise


to junction 5, A25 and return.


Work to improve journeys by carrying out electrical repairs will start this week. The M11 northbound link road to the M25 in both directions will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am,


from Tuesday 29 March for 3 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 7 and return.


Work to maintain safety by carrying out bridge inspections will start this week. The M11 northbound link road to M25 clockwise will be closed overnight, between 11pm and 6, on Friday 1


April. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M25 anti-clockwise to junction 26 and return.


Work to improve journeys by carrying out litter clearance will start this week. The clockwise entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight, between 11pm and 5am, on Friday 1 April. A

Work to improve journeys by carrying out smart motorway improvements on the M3 will continue this week. The M25 clockwise and anti-clockwise link roads to the M3 southbound will be closed


overnight, between 8pm and 5.30am, from Tuesday 29 March for 5 nights. Work on Saturday and Sunday morning will finish at 7am. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via M25 junction


13, A30, A322 to M3 junction 3.


Work to improve journeys by carrying out sign maintenance will continue this week. The M25 anti-clockwise link road to the M4 eastbound will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on


Tuesday 29 March. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 14 and return.


Work to improve journeys by carrying out electrical repairs will start this week. The clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Tuesday 29 March. A clearly


signed diversion will be in place via junction 18 and return.


Work to improve journeys by carrying out electrical repairs will continue this week. The M25 clockwise and anti-clockwise link roads to the M1 northbound will be closed overnight, between


10pm and 5am, on Wednesday 30 March. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 21a, A405 northbound and A414 to M1 junction 8.


Work to improve journeys by carrying out little clearance will start this week. The eastbound exit slip road will be closed overnight, between 10am and 5am, on Wednesday 30 March. A clearly


signed diversion will be in place via the M20 junction 4 and return.


The northbound exit and entry slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Thursday 31 March. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the exit slip road via the


Painshill junction and return. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the entry slip road via the Ockham junction and return.


Work to improve journeys by carrying out litter clearance will continue this week. The northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Tuesday 29 March. A


clearly signed diversion will be in place via the Esher junction and return.


Work to reduce congestion and improve safety continues this week as part of a major scheme to widen the A13 and the M25 junction 30 roundabout and slip roads. On the A13, narrow lanes and a


40mph speed limit are in place and on the M25, narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit are in place. A free recovery service will operate 24 hours a day. There will be additional overnight lane


and slip road closures as required. All closures will have a clearly signed diversion in place.


The westbound A13 carriageway between North Stifford (A1012) and Wennington (A1306) will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Tuesday 29 March, for 4 nights. A clearly signed


diversion will be in place via the A1012 and A1306.


The eastbound A13 carriageway between M25 junction 30 and North Stifford (A1012) will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, on Wednesday 30 March. A clearly signed diversion will be


in place via the junction 30 to junction 31 link road and the A1012.


The eastbound A13 carriageway between Wennington (A1306) and North Stifford (A1012) will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, on Thursday 31 March. A clearly signed diversion will


be in place via the A1306, M25 junction 31 and the A1012.


Work to maintain safety by carrying out a bridge inspection will take place this week. The link road from the A25 to the M25 will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Thursday 31


March. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via Morleys Roundabout and return.


Work to improve journeys at the Dartford Crossing by carrying out tunnel maintenance continues this week. The northbound anti-clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight, between


8.30pm and 5.30am, from Tuesday 29 March for 3 nights. On Tuesday and Wednesday a clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 2 and return. On Thursday, a clearly signed diversion


will be in place via junction 1b and return.


Work to improve journeys at the Dartford Crossing continues this week. The following closures will be in place with a fully signed diversion for oversized vehicles for the northbound east


tunnel closures:

Tuesday 29 March for 6 consecutive nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A308, A311 and the A312 to join the A316 at the Hampton Road junction.
