Partnership team visited a workshop about Administrative corruption and its impact on government service quality. The workshop was organised by the Egyptian Association for Marketing and
Development (EAMD) and the Arab Partnership Participation Fund in Menofia and Minya Governorates. The workshop was well-attended by officials from the local branches of various Ministries
and the Governorate authorities as well as civil society organisation who actively participated in the discussions. The workshop focused on the principles for effective service delivery and
ways communities can participate in the social accountability. APP team realises that the importance of this project lies in the idea of supporting the effectiveness and accountability of
Egyptian institutions which is an essential requirement to move forward in the democratic process in Egypt since 2011. “Improving Government Services Quality in Menofia & Minia
Governorates (IGSQ)” is a co-financed project by the Foreign and Commonwealth office and EMAD within the framework of the Arab Partnership Programme. The APP is the UK’s strategic response
to the Arab Spring and is part of UK support to the people of Egypt and the MENA region as they move towards a more open and democratic political systems. View the photos FURTHER
