Funding will support development of a new leisure centre inside the hub. The leisure centre will include:
Radcliffe library will move from its current location on Stand Lane to the hub. The old library will become a new enterprise and skills centre.
Part of the investment will refurbish the Market Chambers. The ground floor will house shops and cafes, while the first and second floors will be turned into office and studio space.
The market basement will be made into a large, flexible event space, completely waterproof to protect the structure of Radcliffe Market. A balcony will also be built onto the market,
overlooking the River Irwell.
Funds will also upgrade the town’s pedestrian and cycle routes.
