A dog has died after an attack in a Surrey village on Sunday afternoon (May 25). Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses after the animal was fatally injured in Westcott. The incident
happened around 1pm in Westcott Street while the owners of the Bichon Frise were out walking when they came across three dogs and a child. Two of the dogs were loose while the other one was
on an extendable lead but was not wearing a muzzle. Police said the dog on the lead, described as "similar-looking to an XL Bully, attacked the Bichon Frise, biting it in the
stomach". The injured dog was taken to an emergency vet, where it later died as a result of its injuries. Officers are keen to trace the owners of the other dog. They are carrying out a
number of enquiries in relation to this incident and are really keen to talk to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any other information which could help. If you can help,
get in contact quoting ref PR/45250062837. You contact the force, via Webchat on their website; using the police online reporting tool; or by dialling 101. Alternatively, if you do not wish
to speak to police, you can call independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. JOIN OUR NEW WHATSAPP COMMUNITY! CLICK THIS LINK TO RECEIVE YOUR DAILY DOSE OF SURREYLIVE CONTENT. WE ALSO
