One Surrey town will be under a dispersal order for most of this weekend. An order is in place for Staines from around 1.30pm on Saturday (May 31) until 8pm on Sunday (June 1). Dispersal

orders give police officers the power to order a group of two or more persons to leave the area if they are committing, or are likely to commit, a criminal offence or anti-social behaviour.

Officers will be patrolling the area in which the order is in place over the weekend. A map issued by police shows the dispersal covers most of the town centre, as well as the train station

and Lammas recreation ground. Police ask that if any anti-social behaviour or criminality is seen within this area, it is reported straight away, either via 999 - if a crime is in progress -

or via direct message/live chat. A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated across our county and we will deal with offences robustly.”
