If you're struggling to find the perfect show to binge-watch this weekend, then look no further as Netflix has got you covered. All three seasons of Dark Winds, an American
psychological thriller, are available to watch on the streaming platform, and the show boasts very positive reviews. Created by Graham Roland, Dark Winds is based on the Leaphorn & Chee
novel series by author Tony Hillerman. The cast is led by actors Zahn McClarnon and Kiowa Gordon. Here's everything you need to know about Dark Winds, including the plot, the full cast,
and what TV critics think of the show... WHAT IS THE PLOT OF DARK WINDS? Dark Winds follows three Navajo Tribal Police officers; Joe Leaphorn, Bernadette Manuelito, and Jim Chee. The show
is based in the 1970s in the Four Corners area of the American Southwest. The synopsis reads: "Set in 1971 on a remote outpost of the Navajo Nation near Monument Valley, Dark Winds
follows Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn of the Tribal Police as he is besieged by a series of seemingly unrelated crimes. The closer he digs to the truth, the more he exposes the wounds of his past.
"He is joined on this journey by his new deputy, Jim Chee. Chee, too, has old scores to settle from his youth on the reservation. Together, the two men battle the forces of evil, each
other and their own personal demons on the path to salvation." Three seasons of Dark Winds are available to stream. WHO IS IN THE CAST? The cast of Dark Winds is led by Zahn McClarnon,
who plays Joe Leaphorn. He is joined by Kiowa Gordon, playing Jim Chee, and Jessica Matten as Bernadette Manuelito. Deanna Allison plays Emma Leaphorn, while Rainn Wilson is Dan DeMarco and
Elva Guerra portrays Sally Growing Thunder. Taking on the role of James Tso is Jeremiah Bitsui, and Eugene Brave Rock plays Frank Nakai. Noah Emmerich stars in the first series as Leland
Whitover while Nicholas Logan joined the cast in season two as Colton Wolf, and it's been announced that Isabel DeRoy-Olson will play Billie Tsosie in the fourth season. Other stars who
appear in Dark Winds include Jonathan Adams, Ryan Begay, Amelia Rico, Rob Tepper, Quenton Yazzie, Natalie Benally, Ryffin Phoenix and John Diehl. REVIEWS OF DARK WINDS The Guardian awarded
Dark Winds four out of five stars, and praised Zahn's performance in the series. The publication's review included: "It is a knotty, atmospheric mystery that still feels fleet
enough to be tackled in one or two binges. One of the main pleasures is seeing McClarnon – a hard-working actor who has been a welcome presence in series such as Westworld, Fargo and the
similarly hardscrabble cowboy cop show Longmire – belatedly take centre stage. "Leaphorn is a watchful combination of empathy, intelligence and coiled-spring physicality, constantly
having to weigh up his instincts against what will be best for his people. It is a terrific, multifaceted performance." Meanwhile, a review in Rolling Stone praised the third series of
Dark Winds, calling it "outstanding". The review included: "The season’s sixth chapter is absolutely stunning, as a wounded Joe either suffers an extended hallucination or
takes a long visit to the spirit world in order to reckon with a dark secret of his past that ties into several of the problems he’s recently brought upon himself. We’re still pretty early
in 2025, but it’s definitely a contender for episode of the year." _DARK WINDS IS AVAILABLE TO STREAM ON NETFLIX_
