17 SEPTEMBER 1999 ------------------------- TACKLE UPDATES ANNOUNCED BY KVERNELAND KVERNELAND used the event to announce a number of updates for its potato machinery. The UN2600 two-row
harvester can now be equipped with a telescopic second web which moves backwards and forwards above the axial roller unit to expose more or less of the roller separation area. This allows
the operator to set up the machine to suit specific harvesting conditions. In dry conditions for example, roller exposure can be minimised to help prevent crop damage. Movement of the web is
hydraulically activated from the cab and can be adjusted on the move. Kvernelands range of UN3800 bedformers is now available with auto reset as an alternative to the standard shear bolt
protection system. Available in two or three-row formats, row widths can be adjusted between 150cm and 200cm (60in and 80in).
