COMMERCIAL GOATS WILL RETURN TO THE DAIRY EVENT AND LIVESTOCK SHOW THIS YEAR. The commercial goat exhibition, developed in association with the British Goat Society (BGS), will focus on

milking techniques, nutritional advice and solutions to animal health issues. There will also be a series of seminars and practical demonstrations, including AI and foot trimming. A display

of commercial breeds will indicate which are best suited to dairy, meat or fibre production and there will be an opportunity to meet various representatives from the commercial sector,

including producers, vets and cheesemakers. The exhibition will also promote Britain’s diverse range of goat genetics, available for export, to international visitors. The exhibition follows

the successful launch at last year’s event, said Nick Everington, Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers chief executive. “The Dairy Event and Livestock Show will continue to work with

BGS to develop the exhibition and offer technical and marketing information to existing and prospective commercial goat producers.”
