_INFILAW DEAL TO BLAME?_ Geiza Vargas-Vargas, a favorite professor of students at the Charleston School of Law (CSOL), is leaving the institution. Vargas-Vargas taught students law related

to business associations, contracts, mergers, acquisitions, international finance and capital acquisitions. She is a graduate of Wellesley College who received her law degree from Boston

College. Prior to coming to Charleston in 2009, she was a corporate lawyer at the New York firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom. Students described Vargas-Vargas as a “bad ass” who

pushed her students to succeed and was “ruthless” with anyone who showed up for class unprepared. Which sounds _muy caliente_ … She was also well known on campus for her fabulous collection

of high-heeled shoes … also, _muy caliente_. So … why is Vargas-Vargas leaving? It’s not immediately clear, although we wouldn’t be surprised if it had something to do with the pending sale

of the institution to “diploma mill” InfiLaw – a move opposed by overwhelming majorities of CSOL professors, staff, alumni and students.
