Tom Brady will not be part of Fox's NFL coverage this coming Sunday. The New England Patriots icon, along with former Dallas Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson, will not feature in the
network's Week 13 coverage. This is despite Fox's plans to broadcast five games across two windows. Brady typically forms part of the lead broadcast team alongside Kevin Burkhardt,
while Johnson is a regular on the Fox NFL Sunday pregame show. However, the broadcaster has announced that both have been given the upcoming Sunday off. Instead, they will appear on
Thursday when Fox airs the New York Giants vs the Cowboys match. The Thanksgiving special will kick off at 4pm ET, with Johnson teaming up with Michael Strahan and Terry Bradshaw for the
pregame show. Brady and Burkhardt will then go live from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas from 4.30 pm ET. Rob Gronkowski will step in for Johnson on Fox NFL Sunday, reports the Irish
Star. This change comes as Gronkowski was granted Thanksgiving Thursday off as part of Fox's rotation policy. However, Strahan, Bradshaw and the rest of the Fox NFL Sunday panel are
facing double duty. Curt Menefee, Howie Long and Jay Glazer are set to join Strahan and Bradshaw in working both Thursday and Sunday. Brady was visibly surprised when he was informed live on
air that he would indeed be working over Thanksgiving. During Fox's coverage of week 12, while commenting on the game between the Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers,
quarterback legend Brady was informed about his Thanksgiving Day duties. Menefee quipped: "Hey Tom, Strahan's first year, he learned that he actually had to work on Thanksgiving
Day. "He thought he had it off. Did they tell you that before you came? You have to work on Thanksgiving Day this year." A surprised Brady reacted with a stunned face,
asking:"What?" Strahan then also chimed in:"Don't feel bad about it. When we don't show up one Thanksgiving, we'll be having Thanksgiving together." When
the Giants last clashed with the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, it was in 2022, and the broadcast attracted a whopping 40 million viewers for Fox. But this year, expectations are tempered as both
teams approach the game with less stellar records. The Detroit Lions will play earlier and the Miami Dolphins take on Green Bay Packers later, but ratings might not reach the dizzying
heights of 2022. Currently, Dallas holds a 4-7 record sitting in third place in the NFC East, whereas New York is at the bottom with 2-9. In the previous week, the Giants were trounced by
the Buccaneers 30-7, while the Cowboys claimed victory over the Commanders 34-26. Earlier in Week four, the Cowboys had prevailed, besting the Giants 20-15.
