Michu has notched 19 goals in 36 appearances this season for Swansea since signing from Rayo Vallecano last summer, helping the Swans to lift the Capital One Cup last month. While the
27-year-old was predominantly an attacking midfielder in his homeland, Swansea manager Michael Laudrup has converted him into more of an out-and-out striker. Recently, Manchester United boss
Sir Alex Ferguson revealed his admiration for Michu, but the former Celta Vigo player insists his current club is where he will stay. "Swansea are the best team for me," says
Michu. "When you go from Spain to another country, you usually need two or three months to acclimatise, but this has happened to me at Swansea. "In England I have much more space,
which allowed me to beat the mark of goals I scored with Vallecano (15). "Playing alongside Leon Britton, Jonathan de Guzman, Wayne Routledge, Nathan Dyer and Pablo Hernandez is good
for me also." Michu's 15 Premier League goals puts him joint-fourth in the top scorers chart, but he has yet to receive an international call up from Spain.
