That is according to former F1 driver Mark Blundell. Sebastian Vettel made it back-to-back victories on Sunday after beating Bottas and his Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton to the top step
of the podium. However, Vettel came under intense pressure from Bottas in the closing stages of the race as he nursed his soft tyres to the checkered flag after Ferrari switched him to a
one-stop strategy. Bottas – who was on fresher medium tyres – was able to close him down and threatened to overtake on the final lap but Vettel kept his cool and defended well against the
Finn to take victory. The Mercedes man looked like he was going to attempt an overtake on the inside of Turn One, however he decided against it. And Blundell believes Bottas lacked
aggression to try and overtake Vettel – something he thinks Hamilton would have been able to do. "He bottled it," Blundell told Sky Sports. "He had the car underneath him, he
had the tyres underneath him with the performance left in them. "He saw the opportunity but I don't think he took it," Blundell told Sky Sports. "If it had been Hamilton,
I think you would have seen that move at least attempted. "I think he is a fantastic driver but he lacks some aggression and a little bit of fight."
