Bradley Walsh was up to his standard banter in this evening’s The Chase, as he jovially chatted with today’s chaser Anne. However Anne was on top form as well, managing to catch three of the
four contestants. The third contestant to go up against the chaser, was 31-year-old Rory, a tree surgeon from Suffolk. Rory seemed confident entering his cash builder round and grabbed
£3,000 to put on the table for the chaser. Despite being offered £55,000, Rory decided to stick with what he had, saying: “It’s a team game, I’m going for the middle offer.” Anne commented
on his choice, saying: “Yes, I wasn’t hugely impressed by that cash builder round. “I think somebody may have fallen out of the stupid tree.” This sparked chaos on Twitter, as fans were
seemingly shocked by Anne’s words. One viewer raged: “How dare Anne say Rory fell from the stupid tree!!!! #TheChase.” Another fan echoed: “#TheChase oh dear lord stupid tree!!” While
another viewer agreed: “Fallen out of the stupid tree… and hit every branch on the way down #thechase #gangofchase.” The head-to-head round saw Anne quickly catch up with Rory, leaving him
four steps from home, with the chaser hot on his tail. As the round came down to a final question, Rory was asked “Which ABBA Number One hit knocked ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ off the top spot, and
is also mentioned in its lyrics?” Rory incorrectly answered “Fernando,” leaving fans to comment on why he didn’t know the famous song. One fan commented: “He deserves to be eliminated for
getting that question about Queen wrong #TheChase.” _THE CHASE AIRS WEEKDAYS AT 5PM ON ITV._
