Super Bowl 2018: fans of Justin Timberlake watching the highly-anticipated Super Bowl Sunday event accused the singer of miming whilst others complained his medley was hit by sound problems.
Justin, 37, belted out many of his greatest hits in Minneapolis for the biggest event in the American sporting calendar. But his 14-minute performance at the Super Bowl LII was rocked by
audio issues with many taking to social media to slam the set. One disappointed fan wrote: “I love Justin Timberlake but this is the worst half time show I’ve ever seen. He’s barely even
singing. Anyone could dance over a backing track and shout 'Come on Minneapolis' every 20-30 seconds.” Another added: “Just me or is there an audio issue with @jtimberlake 's
#SuperBowl performance?” “What’s happened to the sound for Justin Timberlake’s #HalfTimeShow? It’s dreadful. #SuperBowl,” a third viewer moaned. A fourth wrote: “Justin Timberlake’s
performance is a Pandora playlist. He’s literally just dancing as the music plays.” “Feeling like this is the worst half time show in Super Bowl history ever,” said one viewer. Others were
thrilled with Justin’s performance, with one posting: “Justin Timberlake was awesome. Bravo!” “WOW! What an amazing Super Bowl halftime show Justin Timberlake!” exclaimed another. During the
halftime show, Justin paid tribute to Prince, who died in 2016 aged 57, in his home city Minneapolis. The popstar performed a rendition of his hit track I Would Die 4 U beside a grand white
piano. As Justin sang, a visual of the late entertainer played on the large screen behind him. The popular musician performed many of his hit songs including My Love, Cry Me a River, Suit
and Tie and his 2016 track Can’t Stop The Feeling. Justin kicked off his show by performing his newly released single Filthy from his new album Man of the Woods. The Grammy award winner took
to the stage with the Tennessee Kids before performing some impressive choreography with his backup dancers. Elsewhere, Pink also caused a stir at the game as she was caught spitting out a
throat lozenge just seconds before singing America’s national anthem.
