HOW MANY EPISODES ARE IN DOCTOR WHO SEASON 10? Peter Capaldi is joined by Pearl Mackie and Matt Lucas for a brand-new twelve-part season of Doctor Who. Bill Potts is working the kitchen of
St Luke’s University when she meets the Doctor, who has been working as a lecturer for the past few decades. The Doctor introduces her to his TARDIS and gives her a crash course on his
journeys through time and space, as they face his greatest companion – the Daleks. The BBC has teased: “Two worlds collide when the Doctor meets Bill. A chance encounter with a girl with a
star in her eye leads to a terrifying chase across time and space. “Bill’s mind is opened to a Universe that is bigger and more exciting than she could possibly have imagined – but who is
the Doctor, and what is his secret mission with Nardole on Earth?” Later in the season John Simm will return as the Master, in a time-twisting episode that will see him come up against his
future incarnation, Missy (Michelle Gomez). The new season is the first since 2015 and comes after last year’s Christmas special The Return of Doctor Mysterio. WHEN WILL THE DOCTOR
REGENERATE? Another festive special will air in December, which will see Capaldi’s Doctor and showrunner Steven Moffat bow out from the show. Broadchurch creator Chris Chibnall will take the
reigns for season 11, expected to air in 2018. The BBC has not yet announced who will replace Capaldi as the next Doctor. Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge is the favourite at Betfair with
odds of 4/6, with Kris Marshall also in the running at 9/2. WHAT TIME IS DOCTOR WHO ON? Episode one, The Pilot, airs on Saturday at 7.20pm on BBC One, with new instalments following each
week. Episodes will be made available on BBC iPlayer after they have aired.
