The dreamy actor, who won an army of admirers over the course of just eight episodes of the BBC One period drama, was spotted getting steamy with Eleanor Tomlinson in Cornwall yesterday.
The pair were photographed as they locked lips on Porthcurno beach, while clad in their late 18th century garb.
Aidan, 32, who plays the dashing Ross Poldark, could be seen joking around in-between scenes with his pretty co-star, 23.
The stars of the programme - which is based on the novels by Winston Graham - looked nothing but loved-up as they got to work on the hugely–anticipated second series.
Eleanor, who portrays former house maid Demelza, was sporting a tight-fitting green corset and a thick skirt, while her long red hair was worn down in a loose wave.
The shoot was not all plain sailing however, after the blustery, wet weather meant that filming had to be halted temporarily.
Soon after the first episode of Poldark aired, the BBC confirmed that a second series was in the pipeline, after it helped the broadcaster achieve its highest ratings share for the first
three months of the year in a decade.
Last month, Aidan teased of the plot: "All I can say at the moment is that love is a very complex thing. It is so deep and there are so many layers."
The first series followed the strapping Captain as he returned from war to find the love of his life Elizabeth had moved on and married his cousin.
The series ended on a cliffhanger after Poldark and Demelza's daughter Julia died, and the former was arrested for murder and wrecking.
