Amazon is thought to be forking out £160 million for the project which will see the Top Gear trio reunited on screen for the first time since their sensational departure from the BBC. Each
individual episode will be given an extraordinary budget of £4.5 million in comparison to the £500,000 of Top Gear, which rose to around £1 million with presenter costs. Jeremy's new
salary is far more generous than previously estimated, with the 55-year-old expected to net close to £30 million for just three series scheduled to premiere next Autumn. A source told the
The Mirror: “Jeremy would be looking at £9.6 million a series with the other two [Hammond and May] not far behind. “Clarkson may have lamped someone over a hot dinner but he’ll be raking it
in.” Former Top Gear producer Andy Wilman also walked away from the show to follow both May and Hammond out of the door. Fans of the former Top Gear stars will have to pay a £79 annual
subscription fee to lay eyes on their new show, which thousands of car boffins weren't very happy about.
