Giovanni, 30, and Ranvir, 43, were one of the stand-out couples from the 2020 edition of Strictly Come Dancing. Unfortunately, they fell just short of the final as the couple bowed out in

the semis after failing to win over the judges. The pair have remained in contact since but it seems the professional dancer’s competitive spirit caused a “slight problem” for the Good

Morning Britain star during her stint on the BBC show. Addressing the issue, Ranvir explained: “I'm not massively competitive and I think that was probably a slight problem. “And to my

partner and all the pro dancers, this is their life. This is their absolute, every breath is dancing. “So for them, being on Strictly and winning is so important. And it took me quite a

while to realise really that it's not just - you're not the only person in this.” The journalist went on to explain how “important” it is for a professional dancer to compete

because for them, “dancing is everything”. Discussing Giovanni in particular, the broadcaster added he was a “perfectionist” and was “massively competitive.” READ MORE: A PLACE IN THE SUN

BOSS SPEAKS OUT ON REPLACING PRESENTERS Ranvir added: “I wouldn't know until the very moment we'd finished our live dance, whether I'd done a good job or not. “Because right

up until the last second [Giovanni] would be like, that's not good enough. That's not good enough. “So I would go on having no idea if what I was doing was a four or a 10, I'd

have no idea whatsoever,” the journalist continued. The broadcaster explained on the Calling Peston podcast that is why she often looked “shocked” when the results were given live-on-air.

Giovanni added: “You [Ranvir] can walk away with the best ballroom frame that the show has ever had #fact! “But the biggest thank you goes to all of you that have been supporting and voting

for us every week,” he continued. Concluding the post, which included a picture of him and Ranvir in their semi-final costumes, the professional encouraged his partner to “keep dancing”.

Whereas Giovanni has been keeping his followers motivated on social media during the latest lockdown, Ranvir has been back at the helm of Good Morning Britain. Talking further about life

after Strictly on the podcast, the journalist explained she has become more recognised by the public. “It's quite early days really. It's only been a couple of weeks really since

I've been back at work properly. “I think there is a difference but I'm not quite sure what that difference is. For me, coming back to GMB has actually been quite comforting in a

way. “You come back to seeing your work family,” she added, stating she took great comfort from seeing them again. _STRICTLY COME DANCING RETURNS LATER THIS YEAR ON BBC ONE. CALLING PESTON –
