Bradley Walsh, 60, was on hand to help another four contestants walk away from their participation of The Chase with a share of the jackpot prize. First, they all needed to try and defeat
Mark, 55, in a series of head-to-head rounds. However, when it came to player John’s turn to take on The Beast, he seemed to mix up who exactly he was going up against on the ITV quiz show.
After the first contestant, Matt, made it back for the Final Chase with £6,000 in the bank, it was time for John to take to the floor. The self-professed quizzer managed to accumulate £8,000
in his cash-builder round and the host was fall of praise for the player. Moving himself to the bottom of the game table, the quizzing amateur then watched as Mark made his way to the hot
seat. Exchanging pleasantries, The Beast said hello to his opponent who decided to reply by calling the quizmaster Paul. It seemed he had mistaken the father-of-one for his colleague and The
Sinnerman star, Paul Sinha, 50. READ MORE: THE CHASE: MARK LABBETT SNUBS BRADLEY WALSH IN NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN CLIP "Hello Paul," John said before covering his mouth with his hand.
“That’s Mark,” the host declared, with the quizmaster sat at the top of the game table with a grimace on his face. However, he made light of the matter as the presenter told the player:
"I can see the problem you've got, though," joking there were “similarities” between the pair. “They’re like twins,” the former soap act jibed, before asking John if he was
more frightened of The Beast than The Sinnerman. Next up to face Mark was Laura, who managed to accumulate £7,000 in her cash-builder round with Bradley before going into the head-to-head
round. It seemed the quizzing amateur was playing her A-game as she managed to make it back for the Final Chase with ease. Last up was Barry, who only managed to build up a sum of £1,000
during his cash-builder round but took a risk in when facing The Beast. The contestant decided to accept the quizmasters higher offer of £32,000 and was commended by his opponent.
Unfortunately, Barry was caught after just two questions but told the host he didn’t regret taking the higher offer. This meant it was up to Laura and Matt to try and win the jackpot prize
of £13,000 in the Final Chase. The pair managed to accumulate 15 points The Beast would have to try and match in order to defeat the contestants. By the end of the episode, it was Mark who
ended up victorious and the couple walked away with nothing. _THE CHASE AIRS WEEKDAYS AT 5PM ON ITV._
