Former WWE champion and actor Adam Copeland stars as Kjetill Flatnose in Vikings. Copeland is best known as a retired professional wrestler, known as Edge and for playing in Dwight
Hendrickson in Syfy’s Haven and Kjetill Flatnose in Vikings. WAS KJETILL FLATNOSE A REAL PERSON? DID KETILL FLATNOSE EXIST? In Vikings season six, episode one, Kjetill (played by Adam
Copeland) returned to Kattegat after travelling to Iceland with Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård). However, when Flatnose returned alone, Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith) and King Bjorn Ironside
(Alexander Ludwig) began to ask questions about Floki’s whereabouts. Floki was last seen in the season five finale, trapped in an Icelandic cave. Floki’s whereabouts have become so much of a
concern for Ubbe, leading he and his wife Torvi (Georgia Hirst) plan to travel to Iceland to find him. READ MORE VIKINGS: WHO DID GAIA WEISS PLAY IN VIKINGS? MEET THE FRENCH ACTRESS His
fate remains unknown but Flatnose told Ubbe: “You can search all you want, you will not find him.” However, Bjorn believes that Kjetill could be withholding information about Floki’s
whereabouts. Despite extensive accounts of Flatnose’s life, no mention is made of Kjetill and Floki ever crossing paths. The character Flatnose is based on the real Viking warrior, Ketill
Björnsson, nicknamed Flatnose, a Norse King from the 9th century His life is depicted in Old Norse literature, including Laxdæla saga, Eyrbyggja saga and the Saga of Erik the Red, which were
written long after the events they describe. On the other hand, the Landnámabók saga, suggests Harald sent Kjetill to win the Islands back from the original raiders and upon arrival,
Kjetill claimed the Isles as his own. Kjetill’s family are believed to have emigrated to Iceland and his daughter, Aud the Deep-Minded (Leah McNamara) married Olaf the White, King of Dublin
(Steven Berkoff). Aud and Olaf’s son then went on to conquer northern Scotland in the 870s and 880s. Following Olaf’s death, Aud settled in the Laxdael region of Iceland. In Vikings, Kjetill
is portrayed as a famous warrior in the fictional country of Kattegat. He is a Norse chief, who joined Floki on his expedition to Iceland in season five. Whether Floki will be found alive
in the final series remains unknown but Viking’s fans have been sharing their suspicions about Flatnose’s intentions on Twitter. One fan on Twitter described Flatnose as a “rising villain”.
Another tweeted: “Kjetill Flatnose returns to put on his human suit and stir s*** back home. “What’s his agenda in lying that the settlement wasn’t a disaster? Nobody had to know he was the
one that killed everyone, so why?” A third fan tweeted: “Ketil Flatnose is turning out to be a solid addition to the #Vikings storyline. I want to see more of Aud the Deep-Minded, too—their
family story is hugely important to Iceland in a way that even Floki ultimately isn’t [sic].” _VIKINGS SEASON SIX AIRS WEDNESDAYS ON HISTORY US AND THURSDAYS ON AMAZON PRIME_
