"Not only has Trump embraced Putin, he publicly encouraged further Russian espionage to help his campaign.” And in a heated debate between the two presidential candidates, Mrs Clinton

blasted Trump over the cache of emails released by WikiLeaks, also pointing the finger at Putin.  She said: "We have 17 intelligence agencies, civilian and military, who have all

concluded that these espionage attacks, these cyberattacks, come from the highest levels of the Kremlin, and they are designed to influence our election. ”I find that deeply

disturbing." Homeland Security Department and Office of the Director of National Intelligence released a joint statement blaming Russia for the leak.  They said: "The U.S.

Intelligence Community (USIC) is confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of emails from U.S. persons and institutions, including from U.S. political

organizations." Putin also denied Russia was gearing up to launch an attack against a neighbouring country, despite several warning signs sending alarm bells ringing internationally.

He said the Russian military threat was being exaggerated to justify military spending.  His comments came as a Russian battle ship was headed for Syria, after the warships were denied

permission to refuel in Spain.  MORE TO FOLLOW . . .
