Jacob Rees-Mogg congratulated Boris Johnson in the House of Commons for becoming a father again as he said the Prime Minister joins an exclusive club of fathers of six children. The Leader

of the House has six children himself. The Prime Minister has famously diverted questions about his family and personal life, especially during the election campaign in 2019 where he said it

was not what the electorate wanted to discuss. Speaking in the House, Mr Rees-Mogg said: "First of all I completely agree with the Rt Hon Lady in congratulating the Prime Minister and

Carrie of the baby. "As a father of six, I know that there is no greater joy than a new life suddenly appearing in the room. "It's a huge joy for the whole country. "I

think the Prime Minister joins an exclusive club of fathers of six along with my Rt Hon Friend, the member for Gainsborough. READ MORE: HOW US FIRST LADY PHONED NEW MUM AFTER DOWNING STREET

BABY NEWS "I don't know if there are any others who I'm missing out currently but it's a great club to belong to." Mr Johnson's new arrival came slightly

earlier than expected. His fiancee, Miss Symonds, had said previously that their baby was due in the early summer. The Prime Minister has since announced he will take a short period of

paternity leave later in the year. They had four children together but announced in September 2018 that they had separated. They divorced earlier this year. The oldest of Mr Johnson’s

children is 26-year-old Lara, who was conceived ahead of his wedding to Ms Wheeler. His other children are Milo, 24, Cassie, 22, Theodore, 20, and Stephanie, 11. Stephanie is the youngest of

Mr Johnson’s children and was born in 2009 from an affair with art advisor Helen Macintyre. At first, Mr Johnson denied paternity and was not named on Stephanie’s birth certificate. His

relationship with Miss Macintyre were, however, revealed in 2013 after a lengthy court battle in which he sought an injunction to prevent her existence being reported. It is believed that

Stephanie is estranged from her father and half-siblings.
