Nicola Sturgeon’s stubborn anti-Brexit approach has sparked backlash among some Scottish voters, amid resurgent Tory support. Speaking to Sky News in East Renfrewshire, several voters

confirmed they would back the Conservatives in order to get Brexit done with - even if they had originally voted to stay in the EU. This comes after a new Scottish poll suggested a surprise

Brexiteer surge north of the border. The recent Panelbase poll of 1,009 voters in Scotland revealed a dramatic Conservative surge of seven points, holding 28 percent of the vote. The poll

also pointed to a dramatic collapse in support for Labour since the 2017 general election, from 27 percent to 20 percent. The polling suggests that Jeremy Corbyn’s party may end up with only

one seat, amounting to a wipe out of Labour north of the border. The Conservative bounce back has also dashed Mr Corbyn’s suspected plans for a pact with the SNP if the election returns a

hung parliament. He added: “The Lib Dems want to revoke Brexit, the Scots nationalists want to cancel Brexit and have another referendum on Scotland, as well.” Speaking before Mr Johnson

took to the stage in Telford, Tory chairman James Cleverly said an alliance with the SNP was Labour’s only hope of power, He added: “We know what price that would be: another divisive

referendum on ripping Scotland from the United Kingdom, destroying the most successful political union in world history. “Another once in a generation decision retaken. We say no.”
