PRINCE HARRY SENDS SURPRISE LETTER TO WW2 VETERAN IN GHANA Prince Harry made the day of a War World 2 veteran as he sent a letter to thank him for his already successful fundraiser.
95-year-old Private Joseph Hammond, who during WW2 fought for Britain in Ghana, walked for 23km (14 miles) to raise money for African frontline workers and veterans in the midst of the
coronavirus pandemic. In his letter, seen by the CNN, Harry wrote: "Even at '95 years young' I imagine it was not an easy task. "However, given the service and
selflessness you have demonstrated throughout your life, it does not surprise me that you would take on a challenge such as this -- and that you wanted to walk even more miles. "As you
said yourself, it is amazing!" The letter was written by Harry but was also sent on behalf of his wife Meghan Markle. Prince Harry stunned a veteran by sending him a letter (Image:

was one of the veterans Harry and Meghan met last year after their visit at the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey. The veteran also met other members of the Royal Family, but he took
a liking in particular to the Duke of Sussex. Speaking about their encounter, the veteran said: "This man especially, Prince Harry, I glued myself to him because he is also a soldier,
he's been to Afghanistan, and we spoke about the military, my battalion. Prince Harry and Meghan married in May 2018 (Image: EXPRESS) "We exchanged ideas. It was

send you our warmest wishes." The veteran has already gathered more than 1200 donations, amounting to almost £35,000, on his JustGiving page. However, his goal is to hit the £500,000
target, which will be given to the GUBA Foundation and the FHA. Prince Harry has stepped down as senior royal (Image: GETTY) RELATED ARTICLES This charity supports the African communities

turning 100. The Ghanaian veteran told the CNN: "He's a veteran and I am a veteran. "I sat quietly and thought over ... his achievements and thought why not, if he has done it
in Britain, at 95 years old, I can do it myself".
