Princess Beatrice will finally have her time to shine as she will walk down the aisle next year in the latest Royal Wedding. The engagement to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi was made on Thursday, as

Princess Eugenie posted a snap trio of snaps on Instagram. Princess Beatrice's sister posted her congratulations, saying: "Beabea - wow! I'm so happy for you my dearest big

sissy and dear Edo. It's been a long time coming and you two are meant to be. (camera emoji) by me!! " The engagement was leaked on Instagram and Princess Eugenie later deleted her

post. But the royal wedding was confirmed by Buckingham Palace said in a statement, which read: "The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Her Royal

Highness Princess Beatrice of York to Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. "Her Royal Highness and Mr Mapelli Mozzi became engaged while away for the weekend in Italy earlier this month. "The

wedding will take place in 2020." Beatrice and Edoardo said: “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement. We are both so excited to be embarking on

this life adventure together and can’t wait to actually be married. "We share so many similar interests and values and we know that this will stand us in great stead for the years

ahead, full of love and happiness.” Beatrice is following in the footsteps of her younger sister Eugenie, who had a star-studded wedding at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle in October

2018. The Duke and Duchess of York have announced their delight at the engagement. They said: “We are thrilled that Beatrice and Edoardo have got engaged, having watched their relationship

develop with pride.  “We are the lucky parents of a wonderful daughter who has found her love and companion in a completely devoted friend and loyal young man.  “We send them every good wish

for a wonderful family future.” Beatrice's wedding will be the fourth royal one in recent years, following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's and then Eugenie's in 2018. Prince

and Princess Michael of Kent's daughter Lady Gabriella Windsor's then tied the knot to fiancee Tom Kingston in 2019. All three took place in the gothic 15th century St

George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in Berkshire, with Beatrice likely to be offered the chance to marry in the same venue by the Queen. Her future husband Edoardo is the son of former

Olympic skier Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi and Nikki Shale. Edoardo - or Edo - is a count himself, and has been a friend of the Yorks for some time. His stepfather was Christopher Shale, a

senior Tory and a close friend of former prime minister David Cameron. He died from heart disease at the Glastonbury Festival in 2011. His mother Nikki Williams-Ellis and father Alessandro

Mapelli Mozzi expressed their excitement at the upcoming nuptials. They said: “We are truly delighted about Edoardo and Beatrice’s engagement.  “Our family has known Beatrice for most of her

life. Edo and Beatrice are made for each other, and their happiness and love for each other is there for all to see.  “They share an incredibly strong and united bond, their marriage will

only strengthen what is already a wonderful relationship.” The engagement comes just days after the wedding of Misha Nonoo and her oil tycoon fiance Michael Hess - which Beatrice and Edo

attended at the weekend. The royal couple are understood to have jetted to Rome following a holiday in Capri - and it is believed this is where Edo asked her to marry him. They were not the

only royals at the event - Meghan Markle and Prince Harry raced to be there - without little son Archie, while Princess Eugenie was among the bridal party as they arrived at the venue. Other

big names included Sir Paul McCartney, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, James Corden, Orlando Bloom and his girlfriend Katy Perry.
