The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first child was born in May. And a royal well-wisher has shared a snap on Instagram of the postcard Meghan and Harry sent for writing to them following
Archie’s arrival. The front of the card is a photo of the family-of-three taken two days after Archie’s birth. Meghan and Harry showed their newborn son off to the world in a photocall at
Windsor Castle. The message of the back of the postcard reads: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex greatly appreciate you taking the time to write and celebrate the birth of Archie
Mountbatten-Windsor. “Their Royal Highnesses have been incredibly touched by all of the warm wishes they have received during this especially joyful time in their lives. “They send their
best wishes and heartfelt thanks.” It comes after Archie was christened at Windsor Castle’s private chapel on Saturday. But the Sussexes prompted a major backlash with their decision to keep
the baptism private. They were accused of acting like “Hollywood A-listers” over the christening by public relations consultant Mark Borkowski, while royal expert Ingrid Seward said the
situation had been “mismanaged”. Following the top secret event, Meghan and Harry released two snaps showing the first proper glimpse of the adorable tot. He has previously been seen in the
photocall days after his birth which he slept through. Meghan and Harry also shared a picture on Instagram last month to mark Father’s Day, but little Archie was partly hidden behind
Harry’s hand. One of the photos from the christening shows the proud parents and Archie alongside Prince Charles, Camilla, William, Kate, Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland and Princess Diana’s
sisters Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale. The second is an intimate black-and-white shot of Meghan and Harry posing with the tot.
