Kate middleton news: meghan markle 'feud likened to diana and fergie'

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton  have made headlines recently as an alleged “rift” brews between Prince Harry and Prince William’s wives. There is said to be “tension” between the Duchess

of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex, following the confirmation Meghan and Harry will be moving away from Kensington Palace to Frogmore House in Windsor. As the rumours circle, people

have drawn comparisons between Meghan and Kate’s relationship to that of Sarah Ferguson and Princess Diana, when the two women were married to Prince Charles and Prince Andrew. Speaking at

London Press Club’s In Conversation with fellow royal experts, both Robert Jobson and Princess Diana’s former protection officer Inspector Ken Wharfe expressed that – in their opinions – the

two sister-in-laws are not similar. Inspector Wharfe said: “I think they are two individuals with very engaging characters and so far apart. “It seems to me that Kate has mastered the royal

life, I think time is still available to find out whether Meghan can cope with this because it is a huge life change, living within royalty." Robert Jobson was quick to stress that the

comparisons with Diana and Sarah's relationship were unfounded, though. The Evening Standard’s royal correspondent said: “They’re just two women married to two Princes. I don’t really

[think there is a similarity]. He continued to add: “Fergie and Diana – until the last year of her life – were very good friends. In fact, Diana bought Fergie into the royal family, they had

a real laugh and were friends." Robert Jobson added that one of the main reasons Kate and Meghan and Fergie and Diana are not similar is because while Prince Harry’s wife has taken

naturally to royal life, Diana and Fergie were “hopeless” to begin with. He explained: “A lot of people get down on her [Meghan] because she’s not Fergie, she’s not Diana – who were really

pretty hopeless to start with." This comes amid rumours an emotional strain is running between Kate and her sister-in-law, only months after the royal wedding. Following the news Meghan

and Harry are moving to Frogmore House in Windsor, there has been a rumoured “tension” between the two Duchesses. Speaking of the speculation, an insider said: “They are very different

women despite their similar circumstances. Meghan is an extrovert whereas Kate is quite shy.” Robert Jobson said on the matter: “There’s a lot of information coming out of the palace at the

moment, the palace are doing their best to put a dampener on it. “I’ve heard that there are tensions – I personally think there’s some truth in it.”
