The zebra splits down the middle as the leopard is feasting on it, spraying out the fountain of fluids that sends the predator fleeing. Game reservation general manager Candice Grover said:
"The leopard came across this zebra which is believed to have died of natural causes. **WARNING - GRAPHIC CONTENT IMAGES TO FOLLOW** "You can see from the bloating that it may have
already been dead for over 24 hours.” Candice said the leopard would start eating from the softest part of the prey, which in this case was the underbelly. "The leopard wouldn't
necessarily be going for the liver but it will start eating from the softest part of the animal which is the underbelly. "The pressure build up in the zebra's stomach would cause
any liquid to squirt out as soon as the stomach lining is punctured. "This would likely be an amalgamation of stomach juices, blood and if it was the bladder too then some wee.” Despite
the drenching, the leopard soon returned to continue dining on the dead zebra. The moment was caught on film on June 29 at the Djuma Pricate Game Reservation in South Africa.
