Facebook owned WhatsApp is due an update with new Stickers to appear in the app, it seems. The new Stickers were spotted in the 2.18.210 version update of WhatsApp which was submitted to the

Google Play Beta Program. The sneak peek of the app revealed the new Stickers which appears to work alongside the likes of emojis and GIFS to offer another layer of cartoon expressiveness

in messages. According to a report by WAbeta Info we can expect these new fun faces to appear in the next update of WhatsApp. The WhatsApp Stickers will appear inline and seem to be stacked

so that two can fit in a row, allowing for multiples without taking up lots of room on the phone display. There will also be a location based Sticker, apparently. This will allow you to send

your location with a fun sticker added into the mix with two types on offer. Samsung offers Stickers on its Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, which use the phone’s front facing camera to overlay

cartoons on the user’s face. This lets the user change expression and the cartoon does the same – a neat way to show emotions. Apple does similar with its Animoji on the iPhone X and iPhone

8. For those worrying about sharing location data with the Facebook owned app, it has updated its terms of service following the General Data Protection Regulation that came into European

effect on May 25. That means that users are now able to download a package of the data that the app has collected so everyone can see exactly how they are being watched. In a similar way you

are able to check who is looking at your Facebook account using this handy feature guide. After previous WhatsApp updates to emojis caused user upset it will be interesting to see if these

Stickers are a hit or a miss with the app’s 1.5 billion users.
